I dont know about the destinations you are talking about but I do know that we have the PanEuropean footpath for hikers running through Crete. Other name for it is PanEuropean hikking trail. Anyway look for this sign when on the mountains, and here is an overview map of the trail.

Also check out the following link for pictures and information.

A great book to read and a must have if not with an experienced local is "The rough guide to Crete"

Hi guys,

For traveling I like to advice you to go to the Hawaii Island. The Big  Island of Hawaii is famous for fabulous fishing, secluded hide-away, rain forest, it's all here on the largest and most varied of the Hawaiian Islands. There’s no place on earth like Hawaii. Whether you’re a new visitor or returning , our six unique islands offer distinct experiences that will entice any people.

Thanks
Have a nice time a head....

Hi

Oh my God, backpackers? You mean the arrogant, self absorbed, culturally insensitive, western idiots, who come here and piss off the native population? Please go to China, Cambodia, or Vietnam, but please not here. Thai's are wonderfully tolerant; but not of backpackers.

Thanks
Have a nice time ahead.

I was wondering which countries in central america are best for backpackers. I have heard that guatemala is great for this, and that it is super easy to make friends if travelling alone. Any other suggestions??

Hi

Backpacking in Africa can be hard work, but when you find a spot that's cheap, safe, fun and on a beach -- it's simply heaven. Here's a list of my top 10 places to chill out and rest when you're in Africa. These are not places I'd recommend you spend your entire vacation since that would be an utter waste of a trip to Africa. But as a respite along the way and to rest those weary bones from local bumpy buses -- they're just what the doctor ordered.

Chefchaouen is situated in the heart of Morocco's Rif Mountains. The town is relaxed, with very affordable accommodations, and above all, quite stunning to look at. The streets and most of the buildings in the old part of town (medina) are painted a most brilliant sky blue. The mountains which you can see at the end of every cobbled street are rugged and majestic. The clear mountain light just adds a magical touch to the place. It's no wonder that Chefchaouen is a favorite destination for backpackers visiting Morocco.....

Thanks
Have a nice time ahead
