make hersonissos better

Well if its years of bad planning (20 to be exact) how can it be one mans and one political party fault who were only elected in the last 6 years? Co-operating is different from owning the company.

The same owner of go-go etc,owns beach master and jiba as well.His agency here belongs to the family of a member of the parliament,so the law is not working that equal for all.

I agree that its the Ministry's fault but as I mentioned before its years of bad planning. Also is it possible that the Mayor can kick out a tour operator company? I doubt it since it would sound as dictatorship, but he could very well put a lead on them not to go overboard on some matters. The degrading prices are a trick of the Dutch in general as I stopped renting mine with Olympia Vakantiereizen who was a good company and now its liquidated from other tour operators of Holland. 2600 euros a room was the last price but the next year they broke the agreement and offered 1900 euros!!! Well back then there was other politicians on the scene and the other political party of Greece. The solution is a 25 year plan from us as bussinesmen, show it to the mayor who will take a loan from an international bank, get all the government funding from our so called politicians and start making things right.

Well I was browsing some videos and this is what I stumbled on while watching. Watch on the 4:40 the Dutch boys say ''we explore Malia as well for variation cause in Hersonissos its only the 'boom-boom' ...etc" which proves my point that when we are 'infested' (excuse my language) from the masses of Dutch during 15 July till 15 August the clubs suddenly change music, style, bpms and loudness. Its not fair for the rest of the nationalities and the locals to have the same thing over and over again. Here is the link.

Thanks for sharing this lot of information. You really doing great job. Nice question. Hersonissos keeps the name of the ancient city that was located in the place that the harbour of Hersonisos is today. The village of Old Hersonisos, located within a small distance to the south was built due to the fear of the pirates, that forced the inhabitants of the village to move in the inland.In the site that the harbour of Hersonissos is built today, there was the city of ancient Hersonissos (or Heronissos).

Simple enough. Any of you that have been here, you know about the littering problem from the influx of tourists. Being a bit more carefull or make people aware that throughing garbage on the streets is just low will get people thinking. Also, if any of you have information or can help with an answer to another member, that is also very welcome. Thanks aaren45, good insight on Heronissos. Also, supposedly, the village of Koutouloufari took its name from two word koutoulo (verb: headbutt, hit with head) and faros (light house) The legend has it that there where fake lighthouses there to make ships crash on land to be looted from pirates

I do notice there are a lot of pros who visit this site. this site is here for everyone to use for free, and it will stay like that, but you make some good points on the business side of things. is there enough of a need for a site like that?
